The new trouble facing India is the growing cooperation between the various terror groups like naxals and islamist groups. And even though the govt has been acknowledging for quite some time that naxalism is the biggest threat facing India, nothing worthy has been done to solve the naxal problem. The police have to be reformed. It is like a comedy show when 400 policemen fight with a lone bandit for 50 hours. At the same time within the last 10 days there have been at least 2 incidents of fake encounters - one MBA graduate is killed for reasons still not clear and a truck driver is killed for hitting the vehicle of a police officer in an accident. The govt must ensure that the officers responsible for these kind of fake encounters are charged and given the maximum punishment possible.
