Dear Sir,

LTTE might have been defeated militarily and its infrastructure is dismantled at a very high human cost.

Do you think this will be the end of the Tamil problem. Tamil's problem is being viewed as the problem of the Tamils by people in India and Sri Lanka.

There is no movement towards the political settlement of the Tamil problem.

Vulgar triumphalism is being displayed right from the level of the President MR to the lowest of the low in the Sinhalese society.

LTTE came into existence because of the state terrorism of the Sri Lankan govt as evidenced in the 1983 and other riots even before that.

Even now they do not want to give a meaningful political solution to the Tamil problem.

Let us not bother about the LTTE and the Sri Lankan tamils.

Let us be selfish. Selfish to the core. Let us not bother about the plight of the Tamils there.

At least we will bother for ourselves.

In the present scenario the forces inimical to the interests of India like China and Pakistan are gaining foot hold in Sri Lanka.

The sri lankan govt is trying to play China and Pakistan against India.

When push comes to shove the Sri Lankan govt would only side with the Pakistan and China as evidenced by the refuelling done to the Pakistanis in the 1971 war.

Is it good for the security of India?

When everybody is shouting loudly from the roof tops against the terror tactics of LTTE why no one is even taking notice of the State terrorism indulged by the Sri Lankan govt right from 1948.

If the SLG is going to alter the demography of the North and East by settling Sinhalese there then it will spell trouble for the security of India, as the effective control of Trincomalee will pass on to the Sinhalese.
